Innovation Coaching for Qualitative Research
Qualitative research is essential to discovering unmet functional and emotional needs of consumers and refining concepts that have the potential to create innovative new products and platforms. Yet barriers to optimizing the outcome of qualitative research often include hidden or unexplored assumptions; beliefs and biases about consumers, the team and the organization; as well as conflicting priorities and pressures that fail to acknowledge the opportunity cost of not maximizing and integrating the learnings from the qualitative sessions.
Innovation Coaching for Qualitative Research includes working with the innovation team to frame the objectives and envision the outcomes prior to the research project, leading the team through exercises that engage them more deeply in the process, and facilitating a post-research session to synthesize the learnings and integrate the insights into an action plan for the innovation initiative.
Innovation Facilitation for Strategic Planning
Strategic Planning requires both art and science. A successful meeting includes clarifying opportunities for value creation, gaining understanding and agreement of the team’s strategic priorities in the context of their overall mission, developing an action plan for implementation and accountability, and gaining alignment on performance metrics to evaluate progress toward achieving the outcomes.
Innovation Facilitation for Strategic Planning includes coaching the team leader on framing the objectives and envisioning the outcomes prior to the strategic planning session, facilitating the group’s ideation and discussion throughout the meeting, and synthesizing the learnings and integrating the insights into an action plan for the team.

High priority innovation initiatives may warrant a deep immersion into the approach and processes to ensure the delivery of successful, tangible results. Innovation requires generating fresh insights and creative solutions as well as making optimal decisions during each stage of the innovation process. And consistent cross-functional collaboration is essential.
Innovation Coaching Immersion is our most comprehensive service. It includes individual team member coaching and interactive group coaching sessions to develop the core competencies of innovation. Due to the nature of the work, applying and integrating changes in attitudes, beliefs and behaviors throughout the change process, a six month timeframe is recommended to successfully deliver the proposed outcomes.
